    Direct and manage instructional programs and supervise operations and personnel school level. Provide leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service. Oversee compliance with state policies, success of instructional programs, and operation of all activities.

  • Job Responsibility

    Supervisory Responsibilities: 

    1.     Supervise and evaluate the performance of staff, including Department Director(s), Administrative Assistant (s), teacher(s), counselor(s), Intervention Specialists(s), instructional aides, clerical support staff, and custodians.

     

    Major Responsibilities and Duties:

    School or Organization Morale 

    2.     Provide instructional resources and materials to support teaching staff in accomplishing instructional goals. 

    3.     Foster collegiality and team building among staff members. Encourage their active involvement in the decision-making process. 

    4.     Provide two-way communication with staff, students, parents, and the community. 

    5.     Communicate and promote expectations for high-level performance to staff and students. Recognize excellence and achievement.

    6.     Ensure the effective and quick resolution of conflicts. 

    School or Organization Improvement 

    7.     Build a common vision for school improvement with staff. Direct planning activities and put programs in place with staff to ensure the attainment of the school’s mission.

    8.     Identify, analyze, and apply research findings (e.g., effective school correlates) to promote school improvement. 

    9.     Develop, maintain, and use information systems and records necessary to show school progress on performance.

    Staff Management 

    10.  Interview, select, and orient new staff. Approve all personnel assigned to the school. 

    11.  Define expectations for staff performance with regard to instructional strategies, classroom management, and communication with the public. 

    12.  Observe employee performance, record observations, and conduct evaluation conferences with staff and individual monthly meetings.

    13.  Make recommendations to the school board on termination, suspension, or nonrenewal of employees assigned to the school. 

    14.  Work with Directors to plan professional development activities. 

    15.  Confer with staff regarding their professional growth. Work with them to develop and accomplish improvement goals.

    Student Management 

    16.  Implement and manage effective school disciplinary programs.

    17.  Ensure that school rules are uniformly observed and that student discipline is appropriate and equitable in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and student handbook. 

    18.  Conduct conferences about student and school issues with parents, students, and teachers.

    Management of Fiscal, Administrative, and Facilities Functions 

    19.  Comply with state and federal laws and regulations affecting the schools.

    20.  Develop school budgets based on documented program needs, estimated enrollment, personnel, and other fiscal needs. Keep programs within budget limits. Maintain fiscal control. Accurately report fiscal information.

    21.  Manage the use of school facilities. Supervise maintenance of facilities to ensure a clean, orderly, and safe campus.

  • Educational Requirement

    • Master’s degree in educational administration/Leadership 
    • Operational knowledge of the Internet and web-related technologies 
    • Well versed in Qur’an and Islamic knowledge. 
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience Requirement

    • Six years experience as a classroom teacher with an additional three years experience in an instructional leadership role

  • Additional Requirement

    • Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction 
    • Ability to evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness 
    • Ability to manage budget and personnel 
    • Ability to coordinate campus functions 
    • Ability to implement policy and procedures
    • Ability to interpret data. Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
