Ramadan is a time of spiritual renewal, gratitude, and community. We pray that it brings barakah, love, and joy into your hearts and homes. May your fasts be accepted, your prayers answered, and your hearts filled with tranquility.

Student-Led Fundraiser - A Sadaqah Jariyah Opportunity
We are excited to announce this year’s Direct Action Fundraiser, which will be student-led throughout the month of Ramadan. This is a wonderful chance for our students to participate in an ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah) by raising funds for the expansion of our Middle and High School gym.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
“When a man dies, all his deeds come to an end except for three: a continuous charity, knowledge from which benefit is gained, and a righteous child who prays for him.”
This is an opportunity for our children to earn the reward of continuous charity by contributing to something that will benefit generations of students to come.
Why This Fundraiser Matters
As you know, Sunrise Academy is in the process of building a brand new gym in our middle and high school building. This space will allow our students to grow physically, strengthen teamwork, and enjoy enhanced extracurricular activities.
To make this vision a reality, we need the support of our families, students, and the entire Sunrise community. Every donation counts, no matter how small.
How Students Can Participate
Next week, students will receive donation collection envelopes. They will be encouraged to reach out to family, friends, and community members to seek contributions toward our gym expansion.
To motivate students, we are offering exciting prizes for top fundraisers:
- $2,000 raised = iPad (model to be announced)
- $1,000 raised = Electric scooter (elementary) or AirPods (middle & high school)
- $500 raised = Surprise basket and/or Bike
Additionally, the classroom that raises the most will enjoy a pizza party, and the teacher of the top fundraising student will receive a $100 gift card.
