My name is Tavan Abdullah, and I am truly honored to be part of your child’s educational journey at Sunrise Academy.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Child Psychology, a Master’s in Higher Education, and most recently, a Master’s in Education Administration and Leadership from Grand Canyon University, where I graduated in 2025. I am also in the process of obtaining my principal license. I believe strongly in lifelong learning and consider myself a student of life, always striving to grow both personally and professionally.
I have been in the field of education for over 10 years, with 6 wonderful years here at Sunrise Academy. Throughout this time, I have had the privilege of serving in both teaching and leadership roles, and my passion has always been to create a nurturing, supportive, and academically strong environment for students.
Outside of school, I am blessed to be a mother of four amazing children who keep me busy with soccer, swimming, and piano lessons. In my free time, I enjoy reading with a good cup of coffee, having lunch with friends, and spending time in my garden, especially among my favorite flowers—tulips.
I look forward to working together with you to ensure that your child not only excels academically but also grows into a confident, kind, and well-rounded muslim leaders. At Sunrise Academy, we are more than a school—we are a family, and I am excited to continue building that partnership with each of you.
